About Cyberuptive
We're a Honolulu MSSP. Our customers feel that.
Cyberuptive was built to give Pacific-region businesses a security partner who lives in the same time zone, takes the same threat intel feeds the Fortune 500 takes, and answers the phone with their own name. That's it. That's the company.
Why we exist
The Pacific deserves better security operations.
For decades, Hawaii businesses had two choices: pay enterprise prices to a far-away MSSP that treated them as a low-priority remote site, or run security in-house with whoever had time on the IT team. Neither worked.
The Pacific defense industrial base — primes, sub-primes, and the dense network of small contractors supporting JBPHH, Schofield, and USINDOPACOM — needed something different. Something local. Something cleared, US-staffed, and built for CMMC 2.0 from day one.
That's why Cyberuptive exists. We bring Trellix and CrowdStrike to companies that wouldn't normally have access to either, and we run the SOC ourselves so nobody is calling a 1-800 number when the alert fires.
Honolulu — where we live, work, and run your security operations.
Where we operate
Honolulu HQ. Follow-the-sun U.S. SOC. Customers across Asia-Pacific and the U.S. mainland.
Our headquarters is in Honolulu, serving defense contractors and regulated organizations across Hawaii and beyond. Our SOC analysts are U.S.-based, working across multiple mainland time zones — a real follow-the-sun rotation that delivers continuous 24/7 coverage from cleared U.S. personnel. No offshore tier-1, ever.
Continuous coverage
A real 24/7, not a single shift
Honolulu starts the day for our SOC. Analysts on the U.S. mainland take it through the night. The handoffs are documented. The runbooks are shared. Coverage never has a seam.
U.S.-only personnel
No offshore handling, ever
Every analyst who touches your telemetry is U.S.-based. For DFARS 252.204-7012 and CMMC engagements we scope dedicated U.S.-citizen analyst pools and document personnel handling in the SSP.
Multi-region resilience
Built for INDOPACOM realities
HQ in Hawaii, staff across the U.S. mainland, customers across Asia-Pacific and CONUS. If a region degrades, the SOC doesn't. That matters more for Pacific defense customers than anyone else.
Core values
Six operating principles. How the work actually gets done.
These six principles describe how we operate — the day-to-day commitments our team makes to each other, to customers, and to the work.
-
01 Be relentless, get it done
We see things to the end. We do whatever it takes. We overcome the obstacles that get thrown our way. We care, and it's important to us that you can feel it.
-
02 Pursue growth and learning
Technology changes at the speed of light, and we train hard to stay ahead of the curve. Personal development, technical certifications, mentorship, and coaching are all part of how we keep sharpening the team — because the threat landscape doesn't stand still and neither do we.
-
03 Enjoy life, have fun, laugh lots
Life isn't about working all day, every day. Work fills most of our waking hours, but a full life of happiness and fun matters too. When you have a full life, it spills over and brightens the lives of others — including your own.
-
04 Deliver happiness
Building a happy life is our own responsibility, and happy people tend to bring that with them into the work. We aim to provide the best customer experience we can and to deliver a real WOW. Happy employees deliver quality service — our team aims to brighten your day. Put us to the test.
-
05 Do it for the impact
Care deeply, live fully, respect others. Make an impact on the environment, on people, and on community. Our vision goes beyond tech and profits — we're committed to creating a positive impact for our employees, partners, vendors, and clients. It's about sharing heart and taking bold risks to build meaningful connections.
-
06 Question the status quo
We challenge norms to uncover better solutions and drive continuous improvement. Questioning assumptions, exploring new perspectives, and pushing boundaries is how we stay creative, adaptable, and effective in a security landscape that never stops evolving.
Our story, in four parts
From a Honolulu address to a worldwide practice.
-
Founded
Stage 01
Built in Honolulu to give Pacific-region businesses an MSSP that actually understood their threat surface and time zone.
-
Stack
Stage 02
Partnered with FireEye (now Trellix) to make Fortune 500 detection accessible to mid-market organizations and DoW subs.
-
Vertical
Stage 03
Built a CMMC 2.0 / DFARS 252.204-7012 practice in step with the December 2024 final rule and the November 2025 enforcement phase.
-
Today
Stage 04
Today we support clients and operations across four countries, with Honolulu as HQ and coverage through Canada, the EU, and APJ — running 24/7 SOC + MDR for defense contractors, regulated medium and large businesses, and MSP partners.
From leadership
"We didn't start Cyberuptive to be the biggest MSSP. We started it to be the one a small Hawaii contractor — the kind doing real work for a real DoW prime — could trust on a Friday afternoon when something looks wrong on the network. The operations practice grew from there. The CMMC practice grew because customers we already trusted asked us to take that on. The values grew with us. They're not a marketing layer."
